Nevermore Recording artists Rev. Raven & The Chain-Smoking Altar Boys have been making waves from the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis to the blues clubs of Minnesota such as Famous Dave's and Whiskey Junction. Their new CD "Slow Burn" has recently gotten the attention of Bruce Iglauer of Alligator Records, and was favorably reviewed in the March '99 issue of Blues Revue. In April 1999, the band won a WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) award as best blues band of the year in Wisconsin.

Reverend Raven & The Chain Smokin' Altar Boys features Madison Slim on harmonica. Slim has played with the blues icon Jimmy Rogers, The Legendary Blues Band and Sam Lay. His stylized vocals and wailing harmonica in the tradition of Little Walter and Slim Harpo has brought the band to a new level. On keys is Chuck Might, who has toured internationally with James Peterson, Sam Lay, and Lou Pride, appearing on Lou's newest CD "Twisting the Knife" on Ichiban Records, and the new CD by Terry Frank "Blues In The Night" on Slidestone Records. James Peterson calls him "The best kick-ass piano player in the country!" Chuck was nominated for a WAMI award for Wisconsin's keyboard player of the year in 1999 for the second consecutive year. Drummer Spencer Pannosh recently replaced his older brother Craig, who rejoined Bernard Allison for a tour in Europe. Drew Rittgers, formerly with Big Nick & The Zydecos handles the bass. But the main attraction is The Rev, whose west side Chicago blues style on guitar can positively light up a room. If you would like more information,
